Summary. The results of a study assessing the yield and grain moisture content of maize hybrids in three maturity groups (FAO 170, FAO 200, and FAO 250) under different soil and climatic conditions are presented. Processing the obtained data allowed us to identify maize hybrids with the best yield and low harvest grain moisture content for each test site. For a more in-depth analysis, we used the coefficient of variation (V), which reflects the overall adaptation of hybrids to different conditions. Average yield values for the maize hybrids ranged from 6–8 t/ha, with a V for hybrids of 30–39 % across all sites, and a harvest grain moisture content of 18–21 %, with a V for hybrids of 34–40 % across all sites.
Keywords: maize, early-maturing hybrids, mid-early maize hybrids, harvest grain moisture content, grain yield.
